Gulf Weekly Regency gets Max cuisine

InterContinental Regency Bahrain has recently appointed Max Grenard as executive head chef. He has 17 years experience in the field and has held the title of executive head chef for more than10 years.

A young, creative and very experienced French National, Grenard has been in the company for seven years, having worked at InterContinetal Malta where he supervised eight restaurants and bars with large function facilities, two of which were opened
by him. Previously, he was
the executive head chef of Holiday Inn Lido China Beijing, Hotel Nouvata Parkroyal, New Caledonia Nouméa and Okoumé Palace InterContinental Libreville Gabon, Central Africa.
A man whose culinary skills are of international repute, he was born in the kitchen of the Michelin-starred restaurant in France where his father was the Chef Patron.
Cooking is to him a completely creative process, a fresh challenge every day, obliging him to be open-minded and experimental. “The best chefs are like sponges,” Grenard says. “They should be able to absorb the stimuli around them and use it in their cooking.
“I am happy to be in the kingdom. I am sure that I will soon acquire the Arabic taste and add it to my selections.”
