More than 200 people celebrated St David’s Day, the national day of Wales, at a charity ball held at the Awal Ballroom of the Gulf Hotel.
The event, organised by the Bahrain Welsh Society, featured entertainment by Chris Needs MBE, a BBC Wales Radio presenter, actor, entertainer and accomplished pianist, who flew in from Wales with Welsh Vocalist of the Year Bruce Anderson. There was also a charity auction of a Welsh goodie basket and a draw, which included airline tickets courtesy of KLM, followed by entertainment from DJ Elroy. Above, guests at the celebrations.
