MENA Telecom is in the final stages of concluding negotiations for one of the most exciting nationwide telecommunications projects Bahrain has seen in many years.

Since winning one of the two National Fixed Wireless Service  licenses, Mena Telecom’s specialist team have been working closely with leading international vendors to develop a world-class solution for delivering wireless telecommunication services.
Chairman and General Manager of Kuwait Finance House-Bahrain Abdulhakeem Al Khayyat  said: “We are finalising plans to roll-out a state-of-the-art WiMax network. We are committed to continue investing and being in a position to contribute to the growth of Bahrain.”
WiMax is fourth generation (4G) wireless technology and will be used to provide a range of fixed and nomadic telecommunications services, including broadband and telephony.
Executive manager Kuwait Finance House – Bahrain, representing KFH as vice-chairman and managing director of Mena Telecom confidently observed: “This is the biggest development in telecommunications since the introduction of mass market mobile in the late 80s and Bahrain will be the first country in the world to go nationwide with WiMax.”
