A BRITISH couple has launched a heartfelt appeal to raise funds to cover the cost of flying their badly injured son home from Bahrain.
James Challenger, 29, catapulted off his motorbike after he misjudged a corner and careered out of control on the Budaiya Highway. He was not fully medically insured and his family needs an extra BD4,000 to cover the transportation costs home to the UK. James suffered swelling to the brain alongside serious internal injuries and has just awoken from a coma. Angela and Graham Challenger (inset) are carrying out a bedside vigil at the Bahrain Defence Force Hospital. Mr Challenger, senior, said: “We’re desperate to get James home so he’s with his family and friends and we can spend the time getting him right.”
