French Ambassador Malika Berak hosted a reception to mark French National Day at her residence in the Diplomatic Area.
Diplomats, community leaders and businesswomen attended. Bastille Day commemorates the date in 1789 when a group of Parisians stormed the Bastille fortress. Prime Minister Shaikh Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa deputised Foreign Minister Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed Al Khalifa to attend the ceremony.
