Batelco karting team is preparing for a major endurance challenge beyond the Gulf region and the Middle East.
The team has just received two karts and their young drivers are fine-tuning their skills.
“We’re expecting to receive a third kart soon, thanks to Batelco’s sponsorship.
“Having our own karts and dedicating weekly practice sessions will certainly make a big difference in our drivers’ capabilities and progress,” said Batelco karting team manager Ali Abbas.
He also added that Batelco’s karting team is welcoming young drivers below 16 years to join the team. All young drivers will be trained and then tested before selecting the top four who will continue with Batelco’s Bahrain future driver programme.
The team are not disclosing their next endurance race yet. They’re only saying that it is promising to be one of Asia’s most popular karting challenges.
It’s worth noting that Batelco karters achieved podium finishes in all of their 2006 races. Moreover, with the recent attention and growth in regional motorsports, their talented young drivers are worth watching out for.
