You don’t know me; I know you, I know what’s being said about you. I’m the ‘whisperer’. I am socially mobile: Arab, Brit, Indian, Pakistani, American and the rest, they all invite me and share their world with me. Not much gets past me but if you think it may have done, email me on . . .

A rather wealthy Saudi gentleman is having an impressive home built near Saar which has all the mod-cons and luxuries one would expect … plus a little bit more. The contractors have been given quite a challenge. They have been asked to build a giant glass aquarium around the pool to ensure the owner enjoys the experience of being surrounded by fish when he is swimming. Let’s hope they get the panel thickness correct because it might not be so much fun if a baby shark lands on your head.

An angry expat has told Whisperer how sickening she finds the behaviour of local youths who mercilessly target fast-food delivery boys, not much older then themselves, with sticks. Apparently the little thugs in Jurdav try to wedge the pieces of wood in between the spokes and chains in an attempt to make the riders fall off their bikes and mopeds. She said that she has screamed at the offenders on more than one occasion to leave the lads alone. Whisperer would personally go and sort them out if his pizza ended up in pieces on the pavement.
