Cinema Paradiso is a nostalgic look at one man's love affair with film, and the story of a very special friendship. The film starts when a famous film director returns home to a Sicilian village for the first time after almost 30 years. He reminisces about his childhood at the Cinema Paradiso where the projectionist first brought about his love of films. The film won an Oscar for Best Foreign Film and a Special Jury Prize at Cannes Film Festival.
