‘We need to talk’
Nine out of 10 times, when a woman says ‘we need to talk’ she actually means ‘I’m not happy, it’s your fault and I’m going to tell you all about it and you need to shut up an listen’.
My advice? Do exactly what she means, not what she says. When she runs out of steam, say you’re sorry and promise it will never happen again. She knows it’s going to happen again but she’ll be happy that you agree with her at the time and you should be out the dog house quite quickly.
If by some chance it’s the one time out of 10 that she actually does mean she needs to have a two-way conversation with you, make sure you come up with sensible suggestions to solve whatever the problem is because otherwise you’ll be accused of not taking her seriously and the dog house will most definitely have your name on it!
