The new Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI) Tower in Seef is nearing completion.
“The project should be complete by October,” Saleh Mohammed Yousif, owner of the Central Estate Agency, the Bahrain-based company handling the project. “Offering state-of-the-art technology, the building will house a two-storey basement car-park, the new chamber of commerce offices, a number of embassies, offices for government organisations such as the Labour Fund and will also have a number of franchise restaurants and coffee shops and a 700-seat auditorium.” Total rentable floor space will amount to 12,581 square metres; not including the third, fourth, and 12th floor, which are reserved for the BCCI. Floor space will range between 225 to 1,800 square metres over the 20 floors of the building with offices including high-speed broadband Internet access and telephone, satellite services, wireless networks and advanced security and fire systems. The building will also include a mezzanine floor and the top floor will be a business centre which companies will be free to lease. “We are currently in talks with the remainder of companies as there is a lot of competition in Bahrain with the new Financial Harbour and the World Trade Centre,“ Mr Yousif said. “We have spoken with a number of companies that are considering moving into the new BCCI Tower but have not yet finalised everything.” The building is estimated to have cost between BD8-9 million and is being constructed by the Cebarco, the company responsible for the Bahrain Formula One Racing Circuit, the Shaikh Isa bin Salman Library and Conference Centre, Citibank’s headquarters and the Seef flyovers. “I am very pleased about the new BCCI building,” said manager of finance and human relations at the BCCI, Mohammed Bader Hamed. “The building will be a deluxe venue for the BCCI, and is one of the nicest buildings in Bahrain. My realistic estimate is that we will be transferring to the new building by the end of the year.” This premier development provides a secure, productive and unique office space which the builders believe will be a benchmark for future commercial properties. Not only does the BCCI Tower provide highly-flexible office space and spectacular views, it is an outstanding place to work. BCCI Tower’s state-of-the-art auditorium hosts a premium meeting venue and offers space that combines superior design with multi-purpose functionality. The rapidly developing world marketplace demands tailored solutions to business problems and this means that companies need access to quality training, business support and a well equipped venue for seminars, conferences and corporate events. The purpose-built auditorium combines a unique range of high quality services and facilities, with a location of unrivalled convenience and accessibility. Created to accommodate every business need, the Tower has optimal designed workspaces that share spectacular views of the Gulf.
