Sitra Club to have new facilities

Works and Housing Minister Fahmi Al Jowder signed a contract with Habib Ali Awachi and Sons Company to execute a BD4.045million project at Sitra Club.

The project includes the building of two soccer pitches with natural turf, a multi-purpose sports hall, and a 25m-long swimming pool, among the other sporting facilities.
It will also include an administration block that covers 1,451 sq metres, and a health club that will be over 927 sq metres.
Construction will begin next month, with the date of completion set for January 2009.
Meanwhile, the Al Najma Club construction tender was awarded to M&I Construction. The club will also have newly-built facilities including two soccer pitches, two sports halls, an administration block, and a health club, all worth BD6.133 million.
