Ernst & Young Bahrain Cricket Club (E&Y BCC) and Ernst & Young Bahrain Cricket Club 'A' (E&Y BCC 'A') triumphed after a fine all-round display in the IRIS WLL-sponsored Bahrain National Day Seven-A-Side Cricket Tournament winning the Gold and Silver trophies respectively.
Meanwhile, Young Boys bagged the Bronze trophy in the one-day event organised by the Bahrain Cricket Association (BCA).
E&Y BCC, who were without two of their main players, defeated Alpha Fire-Bahrain by five wickets in a high-scoring Gold final.
Sent in to bat, Alpha Fire-Bahrain found the going tough against some accurate bowling by Sarfaraz Ahmed (1 for 10) and Nadeem Mukhtar (1 for 9).
Only opener Amila, who was unbeaten with 32, and Chatura (22) reached double figures as they reached 81 for 2 in their allotted six overs.
In reply, E&Y BCC openers Adnan Butt and Ashraf Baig wasted no time blasting 29 runs and paved the way for a comfortable victory. They reached their target scoring 82 for the loss of one wicket in just five overs.
In the first Gold semi-final, Khan CC were beaten by a strong Alpha Fire-Bahrain, while E&Y BCC, led by Yaser Sadeq, defeated their 'A' team in the other semi.
All matches were played at the picturesque Hananiya Valley in Riffa on standard artificial turf wickets where big names in Bahrain cricket and a host of other current and ex-players took part.
In the first Silver semi-final, E&Y BCC 'A' defeated United CC by three wickets in a high-scoring game.
Arepro CC won the second Silver semi-final beating Khan CC but lost against E&Y BCC 'A' in the final.
In the Bronze final, Young Boys thrashed Lahore CC by 70 runs after scoring 120 for 3 in six overs.
Akmal Malik of Alpha Fire-Bahrain was adjudged Best Batsman and Fahad Sadeq of E&Y BCC 'A' was adjudged Best Bowler.
Bahrain Olympic Committee's Mohammed Ali Abul presented the trophies to the winners with other BCA officials.
