THE kingdom's biggest annual consumer products show, the Autumn Fair, returns to the Bahrain International Exhibition Centre next Tuesday until January 30.

Now in its 19th year, on sale over the nine-day period will be a massive variety of products, including food, electrical goods, toys, textiles, cosmetics, interior dŽcor accessories, novelties and much more; filling both halls one and two of the Bahrain International Exhibition Centre to capacity with goods from around the world.

"Every year people eagerly look forward to the exciting atmosphere and international flavour of this popular exhibition. Shoppers at the Autumn Fair 2008 will have a chance to browse through more than 500 stands brought together from more than 25 countries worldwide, including China, Egypt, Pakistan, India, Kuwait, Turkey and the UAE," said Arabian Exhibition Management project manager Khalid Ebrahim.

New to this year's exhibition will be a series of raffles, sponsored by A.A. Bin Hindi, in which visitors will be able to win exciting prizes over the nine-day show period, Mr Ebrahim added.

The grand prize draw on the last day of the exhibition will be for a 2008 model Kia Picanto car. Entry to the raffle is free of charge on purchase of an Autumn Fair entry ticket.

The continuing popularity of the Autumn Fair has led to it becoming one of the most successful exhibitions in Bahrain and a large draw for visitors from Saudi Arabia, the region's single largest market.

The last edition of the Autumn Fair attracted 185,852 visitors over a 10-day period.

Held under the patronage of the Ministry of Industry and Commerce, the Autumn Fair will open daily to the public from 10am to 1pm and 4pm to 10pm. Special ladies only mornings will be held on January 26 and 27.

On January 22 the exhibition will be open from 4pm to 10pm only.

Entry is 700fils and children under the age of five will be admitted free of charge.
