THURSDAY (Jan 17)

Film - The Life and Death of Peter Sellers on Super Movies at 8pm

The film follows the story of Peter Sellers (played by Geoffrey Rush), from his radio days to his rise to superstardom as one of Britain's top comedic actors. A flawed genius, full of insecurities and inner torment, Peter Sellers was loved by one and all for his hilarious comic creation - including the Pink Panther's inspector Clouseau. This is a fascinating look into the life of a man who was happy-go-lucky and full of joy one minute and a tantrum throwing spoilt brat the next.

FRIDAY (Jan 18)

Film - Beauty Shop on Star Movies at 8.30pm

Queen Latifah reprises her role as Gina from comedy smash hit Barbershop 2. She's now in Atlanta after leaving the Chicago crew behind, and is making a name for herself and her cutting-edge hairstyles at a posh Southern salon. But when her flamboyant, egotistical boss, Jorge (Kevin Bacon), takes it one criticism too far, she storms out of his salon to open a shop of her own, taking shampoo girl (Alicia Silverstone) and a few key clients with her.

SATURDAY (Jan 19)

Animated film - Ice Age 2 on Star Movies at 8.30pm

In this smash sequel, Ray Romano, John Leguizamo and Denis Leary are joined by Queen Latifah to lend their voices to this wonderful animation that will keep you smiling from start to finish.

The Ice Age is coming to an end, and the animals are delighting in their new world: a melting paradise of water parks, geysers and tar pits. But when Manny, Sid and Diego discover that the miles of melted ice will flood their valley, they must warn everyone and somehow figure out a way to escape the coming deluge.

SUNDAY (Jan 20)

Film - Danika on Super Movies at 7pm

Marisa Tomei stars as Danika, an overprotective mother of three whose fears for her children manifest themselves in terrifying nightmares and day dreams. When she finds out her husband has cheated on her with the nanny her delusions go from bad to worst resulting in devastation for the family. Not an easy watch but it definitely gives you pause for thought.

MONDAY (Jan 21)

Film - Cold Mountain on Star Movies at 8.30pm

Wounded and disillusioned from fighting the Civil War, Inman ( Jude Law), a Confederate soldier, walks the long journey back to his home in Cold Mountain, North Carolina and to Ada (Nicole Kidman), the woman he loves. His trek brings him into intimate and sometimes lethal encounters with slaves and marauders, bounty hunters and witches. At the same time, Ada revives her father's derelict farm and learns to survive in a world where the old certainties have been swept away.

TUESDAY (Jan 22)

Film - Man on Fire on Super Movies at 7pm

Denzel Washington and Dakota Fanning star in this incredible story of deception and devotion. Down and depressed Ex-CIA agent John Creasy (Washington) is a bodyguard in Mexico whose young charge, nine-year-old Pita Ramos (Fanning) is kidnapped by a criminal gang and Creasy is left for dead on the street. Recovering from his wounds, Creasy is out to recover Pita and get revenge for her kidnapping when he discovers all is not as it seems in the Ramos household. Brilliantly directed and full of action and great acting, this is a film I can highly recommend!
