Timeless desire to stay young

IT seems that a number of celebrities have all been named in an investigation into illegal steroid trafficking.

While none of them are involved in the criminal probe, they have allegedly all been on the receiving end of the performance-enhancing drug, said to keep them looking young.

Now that it's been brought to my attention, it's not so hard to believe its true, but it's not anything that would ever have crossed my mind in the first place.

Most believable perhaps is one female star (can you guess her name?) who, since losing weight and gaining muscle, has taken on a slightly manly look and physique and seems to have a more husky voice these days then ever before (both female side effects of steroid abuse).

The others have certainly bulked up but I would have laid any money on it just being a result of working out to stay fit-looking for their careers.

It seems that they have allegedly been taking the drugs to stay young-looking which is ironic really when you take into consideration that tests have shown growth hormones to shorten life span, not lengthen it.

Considering that side effects for men can include the shrinking of testicles, reduced sperm count, infertility, baldness and the development of breasts it's hard to believe that men who make their living out of being 'macho bad boys' would take the risk ... especially when it's never been proved that steroids can keep you young-looking anyway!
