THE new Lexus SUV, the LX570, was launched at the weekend by Ebrahim K Kanoo, the sole distributor of Lexus in Bahrain.
The flagship of the Lexus SUV lineup, LX570 takes the luxury and drivability that drivers have come to expect to a whole new level.
New technologies and a luxurious interior aims to provide a "spirit of hospitality" for all passengers.
The look and feel of the LX570 follows a specially developed design philosophy that Lexus terms 'L-finesse'.
The design merges two aspects - leading-edge technology, and skill and craftsmanship - and it was this high aspiration that the Lexus design team followed when redesigning the LX line.
From the moment you step into its interior, the Lexus LX570 envelops you in luxury. It does so much more than just get to your destination quickly, it makes the time spent in its interior more exciting and comfortable.
In order to create this atmosphere, Lexus designers paid close attention to every detail in the vehicle's spacious interior, giving special attention to seating and climate control.
Moreover, the Lexus LX 570 features the world's first 4-wheel Active Height Control (AHC) and Adaptive Variable Suspension (AVS) systems which are designed to deliver exceptional stability and control, while maintaining the vehicle's optimal position in various driving conditions.
Leading edge intelligent systems do their work to take the burden of driving off the driver. Features such as crawl control; multi-terrain Anti Lock Brake System (ABS); Vehicle Stability Control (VSC); Hill Start Assist Control (HAC); an Active Traction Control System (A-TRC); the Variable Gear Ratio Steering (VGRS) and the world's first Wide View Front and Side Monitor System create a sense of total command on the road and peace of mind.

The LX570 comes with a wholly redesigned 5.7-litre V8 engine and a smooth-shifting, 6-speed automatic transmission, which combines exceptional power with advanced environmentally friendly technologies.
Designed to deliver optimal performance in a wide range of driving conditions, the new engine block is capable of unparalleled power across the spectrum, and is ideal for both off- and on-road driving.
The new engine also comes with VVT-I (variable valve timing with intelligence) for more power and better fuel economy.
Additionally, as part of its pursuit of ideal safety performance, Lexus equipped the LX570 with advanced features, such as a pre-crash safety system with an advanced ability to help recognise, judge and avoid hazards before an accident has a chance of happening. In the event of a collision, the LX570 body structure is designed to help protect the cabin. Ten standard SRS airbags are designed to protect the passengers in the front and the second and third row seats from front and side collisions. Front seats headrests are active so that in case of any collision from the rear, the headrests move to an appropriate position.
