Dubai 'A' won the Riffa Views Inter-Gulf Netball Championship title for the second year in a row beating Abu Dhabi 'A' 19-9 following two intensive days of competition.
Bahrain's A team placed 5th overall, with the men's team victorious over Dubai at the Bahrain Rugby Football Club (BRFC) in Saar.
The triumphant players from the two-day tournament, which featured 20 squads from around the Gulf playing more than 125 matches, were presented with their awards by Richard Browning, CEO of title sponsor Riffa Views, at the closing ceremony which took place at the BRFC.
The tournament began with a set of matches which sorted the 20 teams into three different competition categories - Bowl, Plate and Championship - and culminated in a series of further games to decide the winners and final pool rankings.
Dubai 'A' team captain Rhonda Parker said: "The level of competition at this year's tournament has been the highest we have seen."
A highlight of the tournament was the Invitational Cup, which saw the top eight teams (Bahrain 'A', Dubai 'A', Dubai 'B', Qatar 'A', Dubai Vets, Dubai 'C' and Oman) play in a series of matches against an invitational England side - Hucclecote Netball Team.
The teams played in a knockout tournament which culminated in a final between Hucclecote and Abu Dhabi 'A' which was won by the visitors.
Browning said: "The Riffa Views Inter-Gulf Netball Championship has been a tremendous success for all involved. We have seen over 300 local, regional and international players side-by-side and had the opportunity to watch many exciting matches.
"Our decision to sponsor the Riffa Views Inter-Gulf Netball Championships was part of our long-term plan to promote both local and international sporting initiatives within Bahrain."
This was the biggest Inter-Gulf tournament in the 22-year history of the event.
