Dear Stan,You might be aware that this year will be the first time that Bahrain will be host to the Intergulf Gymnastics Competition. CHAOSS (Children's' Health Academy of Specialised Sports) is organising the event and as is the case with such things, we are dependant on support from the local media and companies to make a success of it. Thanks to an absolutely fabulous spread in issue 10 of GulfWeekly we have had a wonderful response from companies and GM has given us a very generous sponsorship.

Your reporter, Anasuya Kesavan, deserves a big thank you for her effort.

Also, we would like you to mention our 'Big Day Out' on Saturday, March 29, at CHAOSS. This promises to be a wonderful fun day for the whole family. There will be a market with jewellery, arts and crafts, swim-wear and more, a yard sale, raffle draws with excellent prizes - for example, tickets from Qatar Airways - garden sports, Mad Science display, jumping castles, a train, candy floss and a sausage sizzle.

To top it all off, our gymnasts competing in the competition will show off their skills. It starts at noon and we would like to invite everyone to come and enjoy the day with us.

All proceeds will go towards the competition fund. The contact number for CHAOSS is 17592096 should anyone need any more information.

Thank you,

Liana Meier
