Wednesday (May 7) Film - Fascination on Star Movies at 8.30pm

Scott Doherty (Adam Garcia) is stricken and confused when his mother, Maureen (Jacqueline Bisset), announces the tragic death of his father during a curious boating mishap while the couple were on vacation. The incident seems highly irregular to Scott since his father was a strong swimmer. But Scott's suspicions are raised further when his mother hooks up with a new beau, Oliver (Stuart Wilson). As the new couple prepares to tie the knot, Scott turns to Oliver's daughter, Kelly (Alice Evans), for support.

Darker and more realistic than previous Batman films, this is the one that explains the why, who, where and what of Batman.

SUNDAY (May 11)

Film - Hoffa on Star Movies at 8.30pm

Chronicling the life of union boss Jimmy Hoffa (Jack Nicholson), the Danny DeVito-directed film follows his rise from a Detroit street fighter to one of the most powerful men in the US. His role as president of the Teamsters Union led to frequent clashes with President Roosevelt caused him to land in prison and ultimately was behind his mysterious disappearance in 1975.

MONDAY (May 12)

Film - Kids in America on Star Movies at 8.30pm

Based on real events, the film is a teen comedy about a diverse group of high school kids who band together to take on their overbearing principal. Boasting an impressive cast of both established stars and hot new talent, Kids tackles such issues as sex education, freedom of speech, and how to kiss for six minutes straight without losing consciousness from lack of oxygen.

TUESDAY (May 13)

Film - Scoop on Super Movies at 9pm

Starring Woody Allen, Hugh Jackman, Scarlett Johansson and Ian McShane, this is the story of deceased journalist Joe Strombel (McShane) who was following a hot-tip on the Tarot Card Killer before he died and now has to find a way to make sure his scoop sees the light of day. Enter student journalist Sondra Pransky (Johansson) who finds herself able to see and talk to the dead journalist. Before long she finds herself following his instruction and investigating the scoop of a lifetime.
