Members of Awali Golf Club triumphed over members of the former Riffa Golf Club with a score of 6.5-1.5 points in their annual competition. A total of 32 golfers braved the heat to take part in the tournament at Awali which was played in the better ball matchplay format.
David Wales of Riffa Golf Club picked up the only full point of the day, beating two Awali players on his own. The pairing of
“I would like to thank the Awali members for being such great hosts as usual,” said Steven Munro, golf events manager.
A prize-giving ceremony and luncheon was held in the Awali clubhouse after the event for all participants.
