IT'S the beginning of another exciting month on Showtime and they've got a multitude of fab films lined-up.

Knocked Up tops the pile and is sure to have you chuckling into your popcorn!

After producing Will Ferrell hits Anchorman and Talladega Nights and making a star of Steve Carell with his directing debut The 40 Year Old Virgin, Judd Apatow has fathered another bundle of comic joy - Knocked Up.

From beer to maternity - A one-night stand leads to nine months of fear and self-loathing for work-shy stoner Ben (40-Year-Old Virgin's Seth Rogen) and hot TV presenter Alison (Grey's Anatomy star Katherine Heigl).

Without doubt the funniest film of 2007, Knocked Up will make you laugh till your waters break.

There's more from comedy-maestro Judd Apatow who kindly observed that "eventually, the nerds and the geeks will have their day."

Another movie to watch out for is Superbad in which a couple of lifelong high school buddies - one a slob, the other a nerd - are set to go their separate ways ... but not before they've blitzed their way through a night of chaos and mayhem. This is a hugely entertaining tale of a couple of outsiders that have the courage to engage with real emotions. As teenage comedies go, it's in a class of its own.

The march of Hollywood's penguins continues with the animated antics of Cody, a teenage Rockhopper with a surfing dream in Surf's Up. With a film crew following his every cutback and tail slide, Cody aims to honour his idol by winning the Big Z Memorial Surf Off. Surf's Up is fun for all the family.

Steve Carell is preparing for the rainy season in Evan Almighty, the highly anticipated sequel to Bruce Almighty.

A flood is coming and it's up to good-hearted congressman Evan Baxter (Carell) to prepare an ark for creatures great and small. A comedy of biblical proportions - you won't be disappointed.

Plus there's another chance to see everyone's favourite ogre for a third outing in Shrek The Third and Jim, Stifler and the boys are back to make American Pie: The Wedding the funniest yet in the comedy series.
