Dear Stan,ON behalf of the American Women's Association, I would like to thank all those who participated in the annual spring Arabesque Bazaar (above and right) held at the Bapco Club.

Over 70 artists and craftsmen displayed their works, and 524 people visited the event, making it the best attended since 2002. Proceeds from entrance fees will be given to AWA's community service fund, which supports numerous charities in Bahrain.

Thanks to all the dedicated AWA members who worked diligently to make the bazaar a success, to the wonderful artists who participated, and to all those who came to enjoy the day. A special thank you also goes to the Bapco Club and its staff for a job well done.

Dear Stan,

Thank you for Anasuya Kesavan's eloquent and lovely article last week ... only a few journalists who have interviewed me have won my heartfelt appreciation and admiration.

The last sentence of the article is the loveliest reaction I have got from others so far.

Again, please accept my profound thanks and best regards.

Ghassan Muhsin, Iraqi ambassador to Bahrain.

Dear Stan,

Thank you very much for featuring our GEMS programme in GulfWeekly. We, at AMA, particularly the parents of our students, were very happy with Anasuya Kesavan's article.

Buena Gracia Canzana.
