Wednesday (Jun 11)Film - One California Day on Star Movies at 8.30pm.

Starring Jimmy Gamboa, Dane Perlee and Tyler Hatzikian. In this surfing documentary, West Coast surf culture as shaped and defined by eight male surfers, who hail from a variety of southern California beach communities, is observed. The filmmakers establish biographical profiles of their subjects and witness the unique way in which each man approaches surfing and surf culture.

But his status as the local 'King of Christmas' is challenged when used-car salesman Buddy Hall (Dani DeVito) moves in next door and covers his house with enough festive lights to make it visible from the moon.

Host Dominic Lau presents VIP Access, the ultimate backstage pass to Kung Fu Panda, the animated martial arts adventure.

Po the panda is a lazy slacker who spends his days working in his family's noodle shop. Although he lacks ambition, an ancient prophecy predicts he is destined to become a Kung Fu Master and save everyone from the vengeful snow leopard, Tai Lung. This tale about an unlikely hero features the voices of Jack Black, Jackie Chan, Dustin Hoffman and Lucy Liu.

TUESDAY (Jun 17)

Documentary - Perfect Weapon: Siege Engines on NGC at 9pm.

Our two hosts, archaeologist Stuart Prior and ex-Royal Marine Monty Halls, explore the destructive power of Siege Engines in history. Sieges are as old as warfare itself, like Alexander the Great's siege of Tyre, the Siege of Acre in 1191, right up to the modern day, with the Siege of Sarajevo in 1992 being the longest in modern history. Monty and Stuart follow the building of a mangonel, and trebuchet, in order to test their power and accuracy.
