Rosy Blue recently announced its partnership with the Al Zain Jewellery Group in Bahrain to launch the Omri, Ovio, LaPosy and Suki diamond collections ... and revealed more are to come.

Rosy Blue is one of the global leaders in the design, manufacture and distribution of luxury diamonds and jewellery.

Headquartered in Belgium, one in every 15 diamonds sold in the world is from Rosy Blue.

Bahrain is an important market in the Middle East and the company says it "recognised the situation where the supply of diamonds is fast out supplying the demand" and decided to fill this gap by partnering with the Al Zain Jewellery Froup and launch its own branded luxury diamond jewellery, keeping in mind the 4 Cs -_cut, clarity, colour, and carat weight -_the factors that determine the value of a diamond in the market. As part of the new agreement, the Al Zain Group will be the distributor of the four Rosy Blue brands of jewellery across Bahrain.

"Targeted at women from a diversity of backgrounds, the four Rosy Blue brands have been hand-crafted bearing in mind the cosmopolitan tastes and preferences of Bahrain's consumers," a spokesman said.

In a departure from delicate jewellery, the Ovio collection from Rosy Blue is a very "contemporary" offering that makes use of semi-precious stones set in 18 carat white and yellow gold and accented with diamonds.

The sparkling Ovio Collection of six groups of pendants, rings, earrings, necklaces and matching sets are fashionable, lightweight and innovative incorporating a veritable candy-box of semi-precious gems including purple amethysts, lemon quartz and rose quartz, blue topaz, and yellow citrines.

Another collection is the LaPosy range, which is a feminine line that uses semi-precious stones, diamonds and mother of pearl finishes. For pearl lovers there is the Suki collection, which ranges from elegant simplicity to more ornate designs, both with and without diamonds.

Finally, Omri is Rosy Blue's signature line. Meaning 'my life' in Arabic, Omri aims to symbolise the progression in love and the journey a couple makes together in a lifetime.

The romantic collection, with progressively larger sparkling diamonds, arranged gradually from smallest to largest, depicts a pattern representative of the bond that grows over time between loved ones.

"The demand for quality diamond jewellery products in Bahrain continues to escalate and we are happy with the response to the four exquisite Rosy Blue brands in Bahrain, with their contemporary yet timeless designs made for everyday elegance to exclusively crafted pieces for the special moments of life," said Nabil Al Zain, chairman of Al Zain Jewellery Group.

"Today Bahrain is standing on the precipice of diamond jewellery availability for every income level and personal taste. Diamond purchasers are concerned about the quality and price that they pay for the diamonds at present and what we are seeing is that Bahraini consumers prefer to pay a nominal premium for a recognised and respected brand name like Rosy Blue."

The Al Zain Jewellery Group has been in the pearl and gold trade for more than 75 years. The group opened the GCC's first jewellery shop in the heart of the Bahrain's souq. It introduced 18 carat gold jewellery from Italy and revolutionised the traditional trading pattern of the region previously dominated by 21 and 24 carats gold jewellery.

Rosy Blue FZE Chairman Harshad Mehta said: "We are privileged to be associated with one of the renowned names in jewellery retail in Bahrain. The Al Zain group is a name synonymous with quality, range and value and it's the ideal match for our four different diamond brands.

"We have received a positive response so far for all the four brands in Bahrain and I am confident that together with the Al Zain team, we will be able to continue the success story in Bahrain.

"With such a positive response to the recently launched four brands of diamonds, we plan to launch additional diamond collections this year in Bahrain."
