This year Think Pink has four platinum sponsors - Royal Golf Club, Norwich International Consultants (NIC), BMMI and Gulf Air.

"Everyone working at the Royal Golf Club is very proud to be associated with Think Pink again this year," said Phil Jones, director of Royal Golf Club. "We have supported the charity since its inception in 2005 and our previous golf course at Riffa was the venue for the inaugural Think Pink Ladies Golf Day in 2006 and again in 2007.

"I am pleased to say that the huge majority of lady golfers in Bahrain have thrown their full support behind this wonderful charity. Hopefully the funds raised at this year's golf day will even surpass last year's fantastic total of BD4,000."

The Royal Golf Club forms the centerpiece of Riffa Views, a luxury lifestyle community currently under development. Designed by golfing legend Colin Montgomerie, the club's 18-hole championship golf course is due to open next month.

Bahrain-based Norwich International Consultants (NIC) established in 1997 by Neil D'Silva is an international award-winning real-estate company. NIC decided to lend its support to Think Pink in 2007 and continues to do so this year.

NIC offers Think Pink the use of their office space, administration staff, accounting, storage facilities and company driver. All staff, including the sales team, wears the pink ribbon for the month of October, in support of breast cancer awareness. NIC Homes sponsored the ladies golf trophy for the past two years, and last year sponsored the pink T-shirts that the ladies wore during the golf event.

"The best gift one could ever get is to be born and the chance to live. At some point we must stop and ask ourselves what have we done or what have we given back to the society. What we do today is where we shall stand tomorrow," said Mr D'Silva, chairman of the company.

In its second consecutive year, BMMI - a diversified retail and distribution, logistics and supply chain group - is continuing its involvement with Think Pink Bahrain and support the organisation's efforts to make a difference. By generating awareness and educating people, Think Pink helps to save lives.

BMMI encourages all men and women to 'Think Pink' throughout the year by receiving regular check-ups at their local clinic and by conducting regular self examinations.

Gulf Air is once again a key sponsor of Think Pink's annual charity event. "As Bahrain's flagship carrier, Gulf Air is always at the forefront of supporting local charities and we are very happy to be able to associate ourselves with the Think Pink campaign," says Gulf Air chief executive officer Bjorn Naf.

"We have recently launched our new Corporate Social Responsibility initiative and we are proud to incorporate this campaign with our ongoing efforts as it is about standing together as a community as breast cancer is not race, religion, gender or class specific," added Mr Naf.
