Aluminium Bahrain (Alba) board of directors reached a decision on a plan to market its products in the local, regional and international markets following the production increase over the past months.
It reviewed the updates on the new training centre in house and preparations as a co-sponsor of the Arab Environment Conference that will be held next month under the patronage of Shaikh Abdulla bin Hamad Al Khalifa, chairman of the General Directorate for the Protection of Marine Resources, Wildlife and Environment.
Alba posted an increase in finished metal production up to 506,580 by the end of July, with 8,000 tonnes above plan.
The company's safety performance and departmental safety achievements were also reviewed and praised by chairman Mahmood Hashim Al Kooheji, who said that this achievement reflects the outstanding expertise of our employees.
The board reviewed all items in the meeting agenda, including aluminum prices in the international market and how to benefit from it in next year's marketing plan after meeting the local and regional market requirements. They also reviewed Alba's financial and marketing position, auditing committee reports, in addition to different technical reports on the operations at the company.
"These achievements would not have been possible without the expertise we have at Alba to improve our production," said Mr Al Kooheji. "We are pleased with our employees' performance, and we always encourage them to continue with their efforts and dedication."
Al Kooheji expressed his sincere thanks and appreciation to the Government of Bahrain and the Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander of the BDF Shaikh Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa.
