Wednesday (October 29) The Crowne Plaza in Manama is hosting theme nights every week. Wednesday nights feature Inspiring Indonesian at the La Mosaique buffet restaurant from 7pm.

On the menu will be chicken bumbu bali, gado gado, rendang and noodles mie ayam and to finish off deep fried bananas and sweet potato cakes. The food is fresh and healthy, presented in a traditional Indonesian style.

The American Studies Centre at the University of Bahrain is celebrating its tenth anniversary with convocation today at 11am in the Zain eLearning Center on the UOB Sakhir campus. FC Sayaw Unlimited will host a benefit dance project titled 'Salsa Latina Noche Encantada Part 2' tonight at the Golden Tulip Hotel in Manama. The event is held in cooperation with Gawad Kalinga Bahrain. Beneficiaries for the event are the 2nd GK Bahrain Village for the Homeless in Tarlac, Philippines and the Bahrain Association for Parents and Friends of Disabled. The event will feature a salsa contest starting at 10.30pm and will give away prizes for the best male and female costumes. Tickets are priced at BD12 including a buffet and raffle ticket. To celebrate the Indian festivals Dassera, Navratri and Diwali, the Delmon International Hotel is organising a Delmon Mela mega event today at the hotel poolside from 7pm. The event will feature DJ Tegas from India, flown in specially for the event, who will come on stage at 9pm.

The mela event will also feature optional chat counters, kebab and biryani stalls, desi mittai, henna and face painting stalls aside from the beverage stalls. Reggae roots rockers 'The Wailers' will perform at the Bud Music! Live event at the Coral Beach Club, Manama.

The Wailers will make their Bahrain debut with performances of the band's most famous hits including No Woman No Cry, Get Up Stand Up, Buffalo Soldier, Stir It Up, I Shot The Sheriff, One Love and Jammin'.

Most noted for performing alongside reggae legend Bob Marley, the group has sold over 250 million albums worldwide.

Doors will open at 7pm and the show will start at 8pm.

Housexy will host a Halloween Special with DJ Rich Murray at Club Seven at the Mishal Hotel in Hoora and DJ Shane Watcha will perform at Level with his concept 'Zombies Ate My Brain' on October 31.

The American Women's Association will celebrate its 30th annual fall Craft Fair at the Bapco Club in Awali.

The theme this year is 'Festive Jubilee - Celebrating 30 Years of Craft Fair' and will showcase highlights of previous fairs.

The event will be open to the general public from noon to 5pm. Entry is 500 fils and proceeds will be used to support AWA's community service projects.
