Project set to make Waves

Lona Real Estate will launch its flagship multi- million dollar project, Amwaj Waves, at the Property Arabia Exhibition.

The single largest residential development on Amwaj Islands, it will offer over 1,000 freehold apartments with luxurious recreational facilities.

Amwaj Waves, a $396 million development, will span a total area of over 287,083 sqm and provide a wide range of freehold apartments offering residents a new cosmopolitan lifestyle and significant investment returns.

The First Wave will feature four stunning contemporary residential buildings consisting of two 13-floor and two seven-floor towers, accommodating 299 apartments with scenic views of the sea, the city and an exquisitely landscaped pool area. It also includes more than 1,661 sqm of commercial space.

Designed by the internationally renowned and awarded firm of Davenport Campbell, Amwaj Waves is strategically positioned so that from an aerial perspective it evokes the formation of undulating waves, complementing the name of the development.

Each wave represents a different phase of the project, creating a total of four Waves or four plots.

Amwaj Waves will feature stunning contemporary architectural design with 16 buildings. Each Wave will feature its own recreational facility.

"By utilising a design theme based on interlocking threads, we have been able to not only create variety in building form and strength in architectural expression, but we have also been able to generate landscaped courtyards of individual character that are integral, yet uniquely defining components to each phase of the development,'' said Pieter Dekock, senior architect from Davenport Campbell Middle East.

The development is expected to be completed in 2011.
