The kingdom's latest hotel has opened its doors in Juffair as part of the Ramee Group of Hotels, Resorts & Apartments Bahrain plans to cater for the growing number of tourists and business executives attracted to the island.

The former Arabian Palace has undergone a facelift and 'substantial investment' and has been reborn as the four-star 'all suites' Ramee Palace Suites Hotel.

It will be the group's first fully-owned hotel in Bahrain. S Bala Krishnan, Assistant General Manager, said: "The Ramee Group is into an expansion mode at the moment. The kingdom is developing steadily and we feel there is a lot of potential on the island and hence expansion is good at this time. We are looking forward to offering four-star services to our guests."

The hotel boasts 124 Suite rooms with three Arabian Suite categories - one-bedroom, two-bedroom and two-bedroom deluxe.

The interiors of the room are furnished in a traditional 'Arabian magic' theme with classic wooden beds, dining tables, chairs, sofa sets and TV-stands alongside carpets and paintings enhancing the theme.

Mr Krishnan, pictured right, explained that the hotel will launch three restaurants by the second week of December. There will be an Arabic restaurant, a sports lounge and a Western dining and entertainment facility.

Situated comfortably with the Juffair sea view as an added incentive, the hotel aims to provide a convenient option for families and corporate personnel to choose from.

The 24-hour Fusion CafŽ offers guests a variety of international cuisine. The hotel also has a swimming pool and gym facilities.

Mr Krishnan added: "I would like to take this opportunity, on behalf of the Ramee Group, to thank Bahrain's financial institutions and ministries for their support to this project."

The Ramee Group of Hotels & Resorts purchased its first hotel 'The Ramee International Hotel, Dubai' in 1994 and now boasts 27 hotels in its portfolio. In Bahrain, the group is well-known as a leading company in the luxury apartments sector.
