Wednesday (Nov 12)A fundraising dinner and charity auction will be held at the Senor Pacos Restaurant, Adliya, at 7.30pm for 8pm. Organised by charity worker Vicky Honar it will help raise funds for 'Cycle Cuba' - a cycle challenge in aid of the UK-based charity Women for Women which raises funds for research into women's reproductive health (infertility, pre-maturity, ovarian and breast cancer). Proceeds will also go to Think Pink.
The dinner will include a three-course meal (choice of three main courses) with a choice of beverages priced at BD20 or with soft drinks only for BD15.

Disney's High School Musical returns to Dubai after a successful show earlier this year at the Centrepoint Theatre at the Dubai Community Theatre and Arts Centre from today until Saturday. The story of Gabriella and Troy and their friends at East High School faithfully brought to life on stage in a colourful explosion of energy and fun.
The production includes all of the favourite characters and songs from the movie, plus two new songs written especially for the stage. The show is directed by John Payton and produced by Lucy Blakeman and John Payton for Popular Productions limited.
The show will feature a cast of more than 70 Dubai-based performers.
Performances will be held at 7.30pm from November 12 to 15 with matinee shows at 4pm on November 13 and 2.30pm on November 14 and 15.

The Indian Fine Arts Society (IFAS) is organising a three-day talent competition for its member's children only at the Bahrain Society of Engineer's hall in Juffair. Participants will be divided into three age groups and will compete in several dance, music and art competitions. The St Christopher School will host its second in a series of Subscription Concerts in the Junior School Hall, starting at 7.
The violin and piano recital will include works by Handel, Beethoven, Brahms and Ravel, to be performed by Theresa Finzi (violin) and Michelle Miles (piano).
Theresa is the head of instrumental music at the school and has participated in many concerts in Bahrain, leading the Bahrain Concert Sinfonia and playing with various chamber ensembles. This will be her first solo recital. Michelle is a kinder-music teacher and will be accompanying Theresa for the first time in this concert.
