LEADING Italian silverware company Daliana Andrea will launch its extensive and diverse collection in Bahrain for the first time at La Fontaine Centre of Contemporary Art this coming weekend.
Aimed at lovers of silverware with an appreciation for design - antique, modern, contemporary or traditional - the event will include 'ladies mornings' on each day from 10am on November 28, 29 & 30.
The Italian family company describes searching for genuinely unique antique pieces through exclusive channels around the world as a 'natural progression' of its expanding activities and it has now become a dominant area of the company's business interests. Indeed, the current antique collection houses some unusual pieces dating back to the 17th Century.
Pauline Jeakings, who is helping to organise the event, said: "Daliana Andrea offers truly diverse, extensive collections including those where silver is crafted in combination with other materials such as plated metals and crystal, to produce items to suit every taste and demand whether seeking something simple or decorative, practical or ornamental, a home-ware or gift.
"Something for everyone and every occasion can be found within these collections."
Created out of a pure love and passion for silver, Daliana Andrea, famed for its tradition of crafting beautiful silverware, started its activities more than 40 years ago in Florence, a city renowned for its art and culture.
From its origins in a little production showroom in Fiesole, the family enterprise grew rapidly, so much so that today, Andrea Daliana's son and daughter - Fabio and Angela - are also wholly devoted to the business, and the company now occupies a large site in Mugello, close to their original base.
From concept to finished product, the core production activities are worked from this same location, including research, study, restoration, design, trading and selling. Rigorous adherence to high standards of craftsmanship enables the company to certify each piece of the Daliana Andrea brand with the utmost pride and confidence.
