Film - Miracle on 34th Street on Star Movies at 8.30pm.

The 1947 holiday classic Miracle on 34th Street is transplanted to the 1990s with few changes in this family-oriented remake. Neither Macy's executive Dorey Walker nor her young daughter Susan believe in the spirit of Christmas. Dorey is in charge of hiring Macy's Santas, including an old man named Kriss Kringle. He does a remarkably convincing job, and he soon reveals that he actually believes himself to be Santa Claus. The authorities threaten to place the old man in an insane asylum. Meanwhile, Dorey and Susan find their own defences melting and become reacquainted with the power of faith.

Film - Deck the Halls on Star Movies at 8.30pm.

For optometrist Steve Finch, Christmas is the most wonderful time of the year. Unfortunately, his wife, Kelly, and their two children don't share his enthusiasm for the festive season. But his status as the local 'King of Christmas' is challenged when used-car salesman Buddy Hall moves in next door and covers his house with enough festive lights to make it visible from the moon. When Steve's wife strikes up a friendship with Buddy's spouse, and his kids start spending time with the car salesman's clueless twin daughters, Steve goes to desperate lengths to win back his family.

Film - Glory Road on Star Movies at 8.30pm.

Glory Road tells the inspiring true story of an underdog Texas basketball team who overcame immense obstacles. In the mid-60s, college basketball coach Don Haskins (Josh Lucas, Poseidon) defied convention by mentoring history's first African-American team. Despite facing the racism of the era, the team went on to rewrite the history books by winning the 1966 NCAA tournament title.

SATURDAY (Dec 27)

Film - Flightplan on Star Movies at 8.30pm.

Flying at 40,000 feet in a cavernous, state-of-the-art 474 aircraft, Kyle Pratt faces every mother's worst nightmare when her six-year-old daughter, Julia, vanishes without a trace mid-flight from Berlin to New York. Already emotionally devastated by the unexpected death of her husband, Kyle desperately struggles to prove her sanity to the disbelieving flight crew and passengers while facing the very real possibility that she may be losing her mind. All evidence indicates that her daughter was never on board resulting in paranoia and doubt among the passengers and crew of the plane. Finding herself desperately alone, Kyle can only rely on her own wits to solve the mystery and save her daughter.

Film - The Fountain on Star Movies at 8.30pm.

Spanning three time periods, the epic journey begins in 16th century Spain where conquistador Tomas Creo searches for the Tree of Life, believed to grant eternal life to those who drink from its sap. Flash forward 500 years and modern-day scientist Tommy Creo is developing a drug that could save his beloved wife Isabel from brain cancer. In the final chapter, Tom is a 26th-century astronaut travelling through deep space who begins to grasp the mysteries of life that have consumed him for more than a century.

MONDAY (Dec 29)

Film - Knock Knock on Cinema City at 7pm.

Knock Knock is a horror film that combines fear with revenge, hate with justice and responsibility with sacrifice. Rico is the awkward fun-loving son of a hardworking neighbourhood business man. The problem is his dad is an undertaker and the popular local high school students think he's weird because of it. One night after a high school pep rally, some of those students decide to have a little fun. The beautiful detective thought she knew it all but local cops have never seen anything like it!

TUESDAY (Dec 30)

Film - The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe on Star Movies at 8.30pm.

CS Lewis's timeless adventure follows the exploits of the four Pevensie siblings in Second World War England who enter the world of Narnia through a magical wardrobe while playing a game of 'hide-and-seek' in the rural country home of an elderly professor. Once there, the children discover a charming, peaceful land inhabited by talking beasts, dwarfs, fauns, centaurs and giants that has become a world cursed to eternal winter by the evil White Witch, Jadis.
