The Diplomat Radisson SAS Hotel will host a New Year's Eve Party at the Kontiki Restaurant, Lounge and Pool Bar on December 31 from 8pm to 2am with an early morning complimentary 'hangover breakfast'. Price is BD19 net per person.

A romantic New Years Eve 'Dinner for Two' will be held at the Mondo Italian Restaurant from 8pm to 2am priced at BD59 net per person.

A 'Snow White' gala dinner will lure guests to the Grand Ambassador Ballroom on December 31 from 8pm to 2am priced at BD69 net per person above 18 years of age.

The party will feature live entertainment, a buffet and host Krazy Kevin from 8pm onwards.

Al Fanar will also offer a lavish Arabic Buffet prepared by Lebanese and Bahraini Chefs with a variety of Gulf specialties and entertainment by a belly dancer on December 31 for person above 18 years of age. Buffet opens at 8pm and is priced at BD79 net per person.

Sheraton

A New Year's Eve special gourmet buffet will be on offer along with live entertainment at the hotel's Al Safir restaurant with a range of dishes like deer medallion with chestnuts, roast goose with glazed apples, Arabic stuffed dolmas with lamb shanks and chicken breast invotines on grilled baby zucchini.

Soie will offer guests a scrumptious menu and live entertainment with delicacies including szechwan shredded beef with bamboo shoots and shitake mushrooms. A complimentary glass of bubbly would be offered to the guests as part of the celebration.

On New Year's Day, Al Safir will have an extensive family buffet in the restaurant which enjoys spectacular views of the Arabian Gulf and the World Trade Centre.

Ritz-Carlton

The Al Ghazal Ballroom at the Ritz-Carlton, Bahrain Hotel and Spa will host a party from 9pm onwards featuring dNessa, renowned vocalist from Atlanta, Georgia on New year's Eve.

An a la carte light snack menu will be available together with a cash bar. All guests dining in one of the restaurants on that night gain automatic entrance to this event. Tickets are priced at BD25 per adult.

A New Year's Day Brunch with Indian, Arabic and Continental specialties will be available on January 1 from 8am to 4pm. Crowne Plaza

The hotel will also host a special Black and White - New Years Eve Ball starting at 8pm for the cocktail reception with a buffet beginning at 9pm. On offer during the evening will be starters including poached seafood, caviar or sushi, and a selection of fresh salads and cold mezzah followed by a choice of main course including grilled beef, roast duck, lamb, hammour and other main dishes to finish off with an exciting array of deserts and cheeses.

Tables of ten will surround the dance floor and stage. Entertainment will be provided by live dance band '4 Star' and DJ from 9pm onwards alongside a belly dancer at 11pm. Gulf Hotel

A range of cuisines are on offer during New Year's Eve at the hotel's various restaurants including the Sato Restaurant, China Garden, Royal Thai, La Pergola, Fusions and Takht Jamsheed. It is priced at BD28 for Prestige cardholders and BD32 for others and will include a special festive eight course menu.

The Zahle restaurant will offer guests a Lebanese treat with entertainment by singers and a belly dancer. Rates are BD54 for Prestige cardholders and BD 60 for others.

The Al Waha Restaurant will be offering a colourful buffet with a variety of cuisines. Rates are BD17 for adults and BD11 for children of Prestige Cardholders. Others will be charged BD20 pre person with BD12 for children from six to 12 years.

Sherlock Holmes bar will also offer guests an entertaining option with music ranging from soft rock to hard rock and rhythm to blues.

A special New Year's Eve gala party will be held at the Flamingo Bar, Gallery Lobby Lounge and Silk's Restaurant from 9pm until the small hours of the morning. The Silk's Restaurant will offer a lavish New Year's Day Lunch Buffet from 12.30 pm until 4pm for BD15++ per person.
