Mercury Global Event Management and NightShift Entertainment will host a 'Night of Mayhem' at the Marina Club on New Year's Eve from 8pm.

The venue will be divided into two arenas. Arena 1 will be lit to life by well-known UK-based Indian music group, the Sona Family, renowned for their famous song 'Ek Glassy, do glassy'. Complimenting their performance with a blend of original old school R'n'B tracks will be DJ Shadow from Kandy Club in Dubai.

Arena 2 will feature DJ Shad of the Blue Elephant in Colombo, Sri Lanka and DJ Ricardo

Tickets are BD 25 per head and BD40 for couples with regular tickets inclusive of unlimited beverage until midnight.

VIP tickets, including unlimited beverage until midnight with open buffet will be BD35 per head and BD60 for couples.

The Young Goans Club is organising a New Year's Eve annual bash at the Falcon Hall at the Palace in Adliya. The formal dine and dance event will include live entertainment by Aryan Fame as well as spot prizes to be won. G R Crasto will be host of the evening. The highlight of the show will be the countdown to the New Year. The ball is opened to members and invited guests. Entrance tickets will be available at the club's office. Doors open at 9pm. Kiko Motos, the golden voice of the Gypsy Kings, will be performing live in concert this New Year's Eve at the Gulf Convention Centre at Gulf Hotel, Adliya on December 31. The cocktail reception will be held from 7.30pm to 8.30pm, dinner starts at 8.30 pm and show begins at 10.30 pm for two hours. The evening will also feature a DJ from 12.30am onwards. Monday (January 5)

Last day of an exhibition titled 'Print and Stone' held by Bahraini Jaman Abdul Rahmin, a pop artist, print-on-paper specialist and sculptor at the Bahrain Arts Society in Budaiya. It will feature 50 eclectic and intriguing pieces of print on paper and sculptures. For details contact 17590562.

Tuesday (January 6)

Creative Arts Group - Elham is hosting a club/group meeting from 7pm to 9pm at the Albareh CafŽ in Adliya. The meeting will give opportunity for Bahraini and local artists to learn more about the upcoming 'Across the Gulf: Breathing now' project being organised by Metasenta, RMIT Australia. Artists will be able to submit their work for consideration and those selected will be taken to participate in the 2009 Brisbane Biannale. It will also feature a talk by project organiser and artist Irene Barberis and co-ordinator Mariam Janahi.
