Joint venture boost for Bahrain

Riyada Consulting, one of the leading consulting companies in the MENA region, has announced the establishment of a joint venture with the Technology Transfer Centre, of EO Paton Electric Welding Institute, part of the National Academy of Science of Ukraine.

Shaikha Dheya bint Ebrahim Al Khalifa, president of Riyada Consulting, said: "This step reaffirms the commitment of the private sector in contributing to the knowledge economy and the sustainable development of the skills set and techniques, which would assist in positioning Bahrain among the leading growing economies by providing some of the requirements for the development of the industrial sector."

She stressed that this was made possible, under the kingdom's wise leadership and their clear vision for Bahrain 2030 and added that the skills of the labour force in Bahrain and the presence of the desire and will to develop these skills, is an important factor for the transfer of technology.

The EO Paton Electric Welding Institute (PWI), a research and development centre established in 1934, is a multi-profile complex which carries out fundamental and applied research, develops technologies, materials, equipment and control systems, rational welded structures and items, methods and means for technical diagnostics and non-destructive testing.
