The Royal Golf Club management has announced that the club's inaugural Pro Am Tournament will take place on Thursday, February 26.
The event will mark the climax of the sixth Grand Final of the Gulf Air PGA Pro Captain Challenge which will be held at the club on the preceding three days.
Club members and visitor golfers are welcome to bid for a slot in the Royal Golf Club Pro Am which will include the eight British PGA Professionals visiting Bahrain to play in the Gulf Air event. Also competing will be a Professional from the UAE as well as the six PGA Professionals employed at the Royal Golf Club who will all be hoping for a share of the prize pool.
"Everyone at the club is really looking forward to showing off our fabulous new Montgomerie course to some of Britain and Ireland's top club golfers," said general manager Michael Braidwood.
"The Captain of the PGA, Parnell Reilly, will accompany the eight finalists and their club captain partners to Bahrain and will also lead a team in the Pro Am."
Amateur golfers interested in bidding for a place on one of the teams are invited to attend a special Calcutta night being held at the Royal Golf Club on Wednesday, February 25. For further information, email Anita Ghavami, sales & sponsorship manager on a.ghavami@theroyalgolfclub.com
