First Bahrain appointed Abdullah H Al Darazi & Sons as the main contractor for its warehousing project at the Bahrain Investment Wharf (BIW).
The deal is for the first phase of the $45 million development which means construction will now begin.
The signing follows First Bahrain's acquisition of additional land within the BIW, taking the total land area of 716,000sq/ft. The first warehouses are due to be delivered in nine months, with the entire project ready in 18 months.
Amin Al Arrayed, general manager of First Bahrain, said: "We we are proud to transform our concepts into reality and our partnership with Abdullah H Al Darazi cements this vision."
