Saffron Restaurant at The Banyan Tree Al Areen hosted a cooking class for food enthusiasts interested in having a hand in preparing authentic Thai cuisine.
Thai Master Chef Krint Kujjana helped navigate the group through various recipes and menu preparations before allowing them to take enough details to prepare the entire menu on their own.
The class ended with a brief highlighting important points from the session followed by the participants enjoying their meal.
Chef Krint brings with him over 20 years of experience in Thailand, China, the Maldives, Vietnam and the US and has won several international accolades for his recipes.
The restaurant's next sessions will be held on March 14 from 3pm to 6pm.
Another series of classes will also be conducted by executive Chef Josef Umenberger on March 28 and April 18.
With over 26 years of experience, Chef Josef has acquired extensive knowledge and unique skills in culinary destinations all over the world.
His latest cooking classes will specialise in Spa cuisine and highlight a healthy approach to eating.
Participants will be able to try their hands at slicing and dicing with a focus on light, highly nutritious options with special attention to colour and texture.
The classes will be held from 3pm to 6pm and will cost BD30 per participant which is subject to 15 per cent tax and five per cent government levy.
