A huge rise in sales has prompted Mohammed Jalal & Sons, sole agent in Bahrain for Jaguar and Suzuki vehicles, to open a brand new showroom in Sitra dedicated to the Suzuki range.

In addition to the existing facility at Khamis, the new showroom, which was inaugurated by Japanese Ambassador Takeshi Kondo, will offer vehicles including Alto, Grand Vitara, Swift, XL-7, SX4 and APV vans.

Jamal Al Sayed, general manager of Mohammed Jalal's automotive division, said: "We saw a remarkable 50 per cent increase in sales from 2007 to 2008 and with the showroom we are expecting another increase of 15-20 per cent."

He explained that the new showroom will reflect the worldwide corporate philosophy of the Suzuki 'Way of Life' and that Mohammed Jalal & Sons will promote the Suzuki as a brand that is suited for the region identifying with the Bahraini way of life.

Suzuki's new showroom boasts design specifications set by the car manufacturer worldwide and also features a play area for children.

Mr Sayed added: "We want to create an exclusive customer experience at our new showrooms. This is part of our vision to expand in line with our service commitment".

Despite a major fall in the world car industry, Suzuki in Bahrain is looking positive for the following year.

The company will launch an all new Suzuki Alto later this year in the kingdom.

The new showroom is the second one for Mohammed Jalal after the successful launch of the company's Jaguar showroom recently.
