Costa Rica, Central America, is home to a beautiful retreat offering investors and retirees peace, tranquility and breathtaking views.

The newly-built property, just 10 minutes south of the town of Jaco, is positioned on a mountain side with a new 300ft winding driveway.

The 1.5 acre (7,600sq/m) site features a furnished main home, guest house and pool all in walking distance of, what is recognised as, one of the most beautiful beaches in the world, a surfer's haven.

This house is very open concept with exposed teak and cedar beams showing great craftsmanship.

The main house consists of a living area, a master bedroom with a four-poster bed and small veranda overlooking the pool and is decorated with Belgian bamboo/banana wood furnishings in neutral colours. There are one-and-a-half baths and native laja rock is used in the showers and throughout the home with ornamental sinks and faucets.

The kitchen boasts white appliances, a piano shaped bar and all windows and doors are handmade and carved by native artisans. The doors boast intricately designed artwork and the exterior is decorated with black wrought iron design.

There are air-conditioning and neutral coloured tiles through-out the house, ceiling fans in each room and on the patio and hand made wrought iron chandeliers in every room.

The back door leads to the large covered patio and a pool with a waterfall surrounded by beautiful landscaping.

Up a high stairwell of rounded cement steps above the main house is a private two bedroom guesthouse which can accommodate two to four people. It is also newly furnished, has one bathroom and includes kitchen appliances such as refrigerator and microwave. There is a deep well dug at 240ft which supplies great drinking water.

And the property has a garage for single parking.
