Formula One teams Ferrari, Toyota and BMW carried out testing sessions at Bahrain International Circuit in preparation for the 2009 FIA Formula One World Championship.

They commenced on February 10 only for the teams to face some misfortune as sandstorms swept the kingdom causing the sessions to come to a standstill for two days. However, the tests continued through to February 19 and witnessed intense testing as the drivers geared up for the start of the season in Melbourne just a few weeks later.

As the drivers faced the final day of testing it was German BMW driver Nick Heidfeld who held onto the fastest lap time until Ferrari's two-time winner on the circuit Felipe Massa, right, swept in at the end of the day with the fastest time of 1:32.162 minutes.

The Brazilian 2008 Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix champion managed to complete 113 laps throughout the day as Heidfeld ended with the second fastest time of 1:32.225 minutes and 122 laps.

Meanwhile, Toyota F1's Timo Glock completed 65 laps and recorded a fastest time of 1:32.445 minutes.
