The Garden Restaurant has now launched its south Indian extravaganza the Malabar Food Festival which is running until May 12.

The event gives the chance to sample a wide range of traditional dishes from tropical coconut delicacies and fresh steamed accompaniments to pungent spices which will have the taste buds hopping.

Restaurant manager Fabian Corrie, above, said: "We will be offering our patrons a unique taste of south Indian cuisine."

The festival fare will be prepared by Chef Kabeer who has been flown in specially for the event. He is known for his magic touch with Sadhya, traditional south Indian, dishes and promises authentic meals prepared from his own secret recipes.

Mr Corrie added that the Garden Group wants to attract diners from all areas of society from locals to expatriates and is also happy to cater for events from birthdays to anniversaries vowing 'Our professional team will highlight every occasion to make it one remembered for a life time'.

He said the group has serious expansion plans for both Bahrain and the rest of the Middle East such as Saudi and Oman and plans to launch a range of freshly packed foods for delivery particularly targeted towards executive bachelors for whom 'time is limited and taste is what matters'.
