Much in store for action film buffs

I have been waiting for this movie for a long time. I enjoyed the first one and was hoping that the sequel would be much better. Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, is a good action movie but lacks a decent dialogue and is very, very long. The director could have made it a bit shorter if he had chopped off the unnecessary scenes. I think it is a bit too much to spend two-and-a-half hours watching transforming cars fighting with each other. As I have already said, it is a good action movie with amazing technical effects. You will see a lot of equipment blowing up ... cars, trucks, tanks, submarines and airplanes. There are over 40 robots in this film, compared to the smaller crew of 14 from the first offering, and they are hiding out on Earth in the shape of cars, trucks or fighter planes. They make themselves at will into huge action figures in which you can still see their automotive roots. The Transformers are basically alien shape-shifters who are looking for another planet to take over. The new movie is initially set in 17,000 BC in Africa. Some of the Transformers are old while others are new, local and alien, bad and good. It then moves to the present day. During the two years since the death of Megatron and the destruction of the Allspark, Optimus Prime's call has been answered, and new Autobots have arrived on Earth. Under his leadership, the Autobots have formed a secret alliance with several world governments and assist NEST; a multi-national force lead by Major Lennox; dedicated to hunting down Decepticons on Earth. After a near disastrous mission in Shanghai, the US Government wonders whether the alliance is still beneficial, as Decepticon incursions globally are on the rise. Optimus and Lennox believe the Decepticons are looking for something new and are troubled by the last Decepticon's warning that 'The Fallen is coming'. At the same time, Sam Witwicky (Shia LaBeouf) is heading off to college and leaving his Autobot friend Bumblebee behind in the hopes of having a normal life again. But information from the Allspark drags him once again into the alien war. Sam and his girlfriend Mikaela (Megan Fox) did a good job in the movie and you can tell that they are relaxed with each other. Fox, described internationally as a hot babe, perhaps made the director focus more on her body than her acting. But this sequel will be appreciated by action movie fans as well as Fox devotees. Showing in:_Seef I, Saar Cineplex and Al Jazeera Cineplex. .
