A 'stay at home' Beyonce movie

Obsessed is an entertaining film but it is one that I would rather have watched in the comfort of my own home with my feet up under a blanket and snacks next to me on the table.

The story is about a successful and rich man who is being stalked by a crazy temp in his office.

He is married and loves his wife and baby boy so he doesn't want to risk losing what he has, although the temp is very attractive.

The story is not very original but what spices up this film a little bit is that the crazy temp is Ali Larter and the wife is none other than Beynoce.

Sharon (Beyonce) met her husband Derek Charles (Idris Elba) under the same circumstances. She was an assistant at the same firm where he worked.

Now married to him she bans him from having any female assistants fearing that he will woo them too.

But the rule does not apply to temporary assistants. So one of the staff hires Lisa.

She is obsessed with Derek and, to get close to him, she switches jobs with the other temps, organises her hours around him and tries to seduce him at the company Christmas party.

She constantly flirts with him but Derek has promised himself that he will be a decent and loyal husband so he does his very best to avoid her.

Lisa doesn't take the rejection well and starts stalking him. She visits Derek in his house and surprises him in his car.

Sharon discovers what is going on and gets very upset which leads to a cat fight between her and Lisa.

I'll leave you to find out for yourself what happens next.

I think after watching this movie some wives will be determined not to allow their husbands to hire female assistants, especially if they are very pretty. Obsessed is a good movie. You should go and see it if you have no other plans. Don't forget your popcorn and your Pepsi. Showing in Dana Cineplex.
