It seems that the Mini is only getting better with age. In the same week that saw the car celebrate its 50th anniversary, a striking vision of how the model family will develop in the future has been previewed - the Mini CoupŽ Concept.
The maker's interpretation of an 'uncompromisingly sporting two-seater' will be presented for the first time at the 10-day Frankfurt Motor Show in Germany, which opens on September 17.
The maker's say its compact dimensions, axle load distribution and a low centre of gravity offer ideal conditions for enhancing driving agility.
Sarah Klippert, manager of Mini at BMW Group Middle East, said: "The Mini CoupŽ Concept is unmistakably Mini in its characteristics but brings a new and exciting extension in design story to the legend of the Mini.
"It is a design study that gives a good impression of what future models of the Mini family might look like."
