The Wright decision puts Jeff on the top

Jeff Wright's decision to risk a power play on holes 2 and 8 coupled with a birdie on the 4th hole paid off in the third leg of the Royal Golf Club's Ramadan PowerPlay Night Golf series earning him 25 points putting him in first place.

Losing out by just one point was Ilya Goniker who almost tied with the leader, garnering 12 points in the last two holes.

PowerPlay Golf is an exciting new format where players can opt to attack tougher pin positions to achieve better scores over a 9-hole round. The series is being held every Wednesday evening throughout Ramadan on the Club's floodlit Wee Monty par 3 course with a choice of 7pm and 9pm shotgun starts. An order of merit is being maintained during the series with prizes sponsored by PowerPlay.

Players wishing to take part in the final leg of the Ramadan Night Golf Series can sign up via the Royal Golf Club website www.theroyalgolfclub.com The cost to play for non-members is BD15 per person for 9 holes on the Wee Monty course.
