Jeff Wright sustained his lead in the Ramadan PowerPlay Night Golf Series at the Royal Golf Club to emerge as champion.
Wright, who was the co-leader at the start of the final night produced a solid display over the 9-hole competition which was played in the exciting new 2-flag format. His tally of 25 points was enough to finish in second place on the finals night, giving him an additional four points to add to the five already gained over the duration of the event, giving him a one-point cushion in the Order of Merit over Aqdas Ahmed.
Ahmed made a late charge in the final round winning the event with a whopping 28 points and gaining five points to add to his three already won, leaving him just one point short of the title.
Gino Gizzi clinched third place in the final week, scoring 16 points on countback to finish tied third place on the Order of Merit along with Ian Smith and Paul Williams.
