Skoda is driving ahead on the international stage winning rave reviews and a series of accolades from owners.

In the 2009 Auto Express Driver Power Survey, Skoda caused quite a stir by receiving the accolade of 'Best Manufacturer' - taking the crown away from luxury brand Lexus. More than 20,000 owners rated their own cars on reliability, build quality and running costs and rated Skoda right at the top of them all.

Skoda's cars have captured the hearts of owners around the world for more than a decade. In 2007, over 56,000 owners rated Skoda as the 'Overall Top Car Manufacturer' for owners' satisfaction.

Skoda has been in the top five of the prestigious JD Power Customer Satisfaction Survey, arguably the most comprehensive and respected in the UK, for the last 12 years and is the only manufacturer to have achieved such a feat. It is conducted among owners of two- to three-year-old cars and takes into account various factors such as:

Quality and reliability;

Vehicle appeal (including performance, design, comfort and features);

Satisfaction with retailer service;

Ownership costs (fuel consumption, insurance and service/ repair).

Skoda, part of the Volkswagen automotive group, has recently been celebrating the launch of its all new award-winning Skoda Octavia equipped with a turbo-charged 1.8 litre engine mated to a seven speed DSG gearbox, a first in the mid-size car segment in Bahrain.

With models such as the entry-level Skoda Fabia, mid-size Octavia, full-size Superb and the Skoda Yeti cross-over SUV, motoring critics say Skoda's success is down to making cars that appeal to a broad section of the market with colours, options and features that are not only practical but also make every Skoda excellent value for money.

Prices for the Fabia start at BD5,000; the Octavia start at BD8,450 and the Superb at BD11,900.

In Bahrain, Skoda's range of vehicles is available through Ahmed Zayani & Sons. For more information or to book a test drive, contact 17238822.
