Business Software Alliance (BSA) held a roundtable with the Bahrain Ministry of Culture and Information to discuss strategies to intensify national anti-piracy initiatives.
Representatives from BSA and the ministry joined several government representatives in discussing key recommendations for further improving Bahrain's anti-piracy policies.
"We have been focusing on reducing the rate of piracy and creating more awareness among consumers and businesses. Our talks will result in more comprehensive anti-piracy campaigns aimed at further improving Bahrain's image as a safe and fair business destination," said Jamal Dawood, director of publication, Bahrain Ministry of Culture and Information.
Jawad Al Redha, BSA co-chairman in the Gulf region, said: "The government doubling its efforts to fight piracy throughout the kingdom, and through our strong co-operation and co-ordination with the Ministry of Culture and Information we are ready to collaborate in order to formulate more effective strategies to protect intellectual property rights (IPR) in the kingdom."
