Bahrain Prism Glass Factory (BPGF) was officially inaugurated this week by Commerce and Industry Minister Dr Hassan Fakhro at the Bahrain International Investment Park in Hidd.
The new glass processing factory was established by a group of Bahrain's leading business houses namely, Banz group, Buhindi Group, Al Moayyed International and Meritas Investments,
BPGF chairman Abdulla Buhindi, senior company officials and other dignitaries attended the opening.
Built at a cost of over $25 million (BD9.35 million), BPGF will be one of the largest of its kind in the region. The company provides an innovative and creative glass solution that surpasses the requirement of architectural glass in the region.
The factory has a total area of 35,000 sq/m and plans to churn out at least 2,800 sq/m of processed glass each day and is set to provide innovative and creative glass solutions that would surpass the requirement of architectural glass in the region.
BPGF claims to have recruited the best trained personnel in the industry with quality as their top agenda. Officials say the company has already started implementing strict quality control, health and safety measures to ensure ISO 9001, 14001 & 18001 certification is in its reach by the end of this year.
